أعلنت جوائز اختيار النقاد الأمريكية، قائمة المرشحين لحصد جوائزها لعام 2023، إذ سيطر فيلم المخرجة جريتا جيروج Barbie "باربي" على المنافسة بحصوله على 18 ترشيحًا، محققًا رقمًا قياسيًا جديدًا، ومتجاوزًا الرقم القياسي السابق البالغ 14 ترشيحًا، والمسجل باسم فيلمي Everything Everywhere All At Once "كل شيء في كل مكان في وقت واحد" لعام 2022 وThe Shape of Water "شكل الماء" عام 2017.
فيما جاء في المركز الثاني بقائمة ترشيحات جوائز اختيار النقاد الأمريكية فيلما Poor Things "أشياء فقيرة" وOppenheimer "أوبنهايمر" بـ 13 ترشيحًا لكل منهما، ومن المقرر أن يتم الإعلان - الفائزين خلال حفل يقام في 14 يناير 2024 بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية ويقدمه الممثل الكوميدي تشيلسي هاندلر، حسبما ذكرت صحيفة independent.
